The lock came out of the door on the driver side. Remove the rear door trim panel screws at bottom of panel. Circle around the edges until the panel comes off. I have begun the process of removing the inside door panel o the driver side door.

Remove the rear door. Super easy and anyone can install the door handle inserts. This was such an easy install it literally was done in 15 minutes on 5 doors. I was told it was probably just the clip that holds it in place fell out.

Insert a large flat wrench or putty knife between the trim panel and door and pop off the plastic retaining plugs. Remove the rear door handle trim cover. I have an issue with the door lock on my 2008 jeep wrangler rubicon. To avoid damage to the rear door trim panel do not pull directly outward.
